Naseeruddin Shah called Dilip Kumar among the finest actors in the country. In an opinion piece, Naseeruddin Shah writes about Dilip Kumar’s irreplaceable contributions to Indian cinema and says that Kumar’s autobiography was a rehash of old interviews. Naseeruddin Shah writes, “Despite Dilip Kumar‘s greatness, he did little to uplift his kind of cinema.” Naseeruddin Shah, who is back home from Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital after recovering from pneumonia, revealed that he was visited by Saira Banu at the hospital. Dilip Kumar was also admitted to the same hospital where he breathed his last on July 7. The legendary actor was admitted to the hospital on June 30 after he complained of experiencing breathlessness. Shah was also hospitalised around the same time and was discharged on July 7.
