Five Indian Army soldiers were killed in an encounter that broke out in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. Among the deceased are four jawans and one JCO.
The Army has cordoned off the area and the search for an infiltration bid is still on.
An encounter started between security forces and militants in a forest area in the Poonch sector of Jammu, officials said on Wednesday. Three to four militants were believed to be trapped in the area, they said.
