The bodies of the martyred soldiers, who were killed in a militant attack in the Singhat sub-division of Manipur’s Churachandpur district, reached Imphal late last night. The ambush on the convoy of the Commanding Officer of an Assam Rifles unit on Saturday claimed seven lives, including the CO’s wife and son.
The mortal remains of the martyred soldiers reached Imphal yesterday (November 13) and the post-mortem will take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal.
