In today’s show, Prateeksha brings you the story of Keith Raniere. Keith Raniere, the founder of cult-like group NXIVM, sentenced to 120 years in prison. He was found guilty of sex trafficking and other crimes after many women accused him of rame and being kept as sex slaves. Many of his former followers accused him of starvation diets, being branded with his initials, and ordered to have sex with him. Followers signed up for $5,000, five-day self-help courses, but some were then financially and sexually exploited and forced to follow a restrictive diet, as Raniere — known as “Vanguard” exerted control.
