The controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) may be withdrawn from Nagaland. A committee will be formed to consider it. On behalf of the Nagaland government, it has been told that a meeting was held in this regard on 23 December under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy CM Y Pattan, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma were also present in this meeting. The decision to form a committee was taken in this meeting itself.
