On August 7, 2020 flight IX1344 crashed while bringing back Indians stranded abroad during Corona. The accident happened on the Kozhikode runway. The plane skidded off the runway and the accident happened. 190 people were on board the plane. 21 lost their lives in the accident. Both pilots were also killed. The investigation started after the accident. Now the matter of completion of this investigation is being said.
