Prominent jewellery brand Tanishq that comes under TATA’s company ‘Titan’ has been facing a lot of backlash over an advertisement that highlighted the ‘Hindu-Muslim’ cultural integration. However, it didn’t go well with the audience. A lot of people who were against the ad said that it promotes ‘Love-Jihad’. Consequently, #BoycottTanishq campaign kick-started that led the jewellery brand to remove the ad from all their social media channels. Moreover, it is also said that due to the negative campaigning against the ad, Titan (Tanishq’s) Parent Company had to bear a loss of around Rs. 2700 crores.
