In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil narrates the story of how an Indian Businessman helped the Nigerian Dictator Sani Abacha in looting Nigeria and laundering the money to tax havens. Sani Abacha seized power in 1993 Nigerian coup and ruled the country till 1998. During this time Abacha looted millions of dollars from the country through various schemes and deposited the money in Foreign Bank accounts. One person who helped Abacha was an Indian Businessman Raj Bhojwani. Bhojwani in 2010 was sentenced to 8 Year jail in this matter.
