Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is being questioned in connection with the assassination of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, revealed during the interrogation that he wanted to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan in 2018 to teach him a lesson over the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
As per the sources, during his interrogation by the Punjab Police, Bishnoi disclosed the murder plot.
He sent gangster Sampat Nehra to Mumbai to execute the murder. Nehra did recce around the actor’s house. Bishnoi reportedly told police that Nehra only had a pistol and didn’t have a long-distance firing weapon and could attack Khan only from a distance. So, he bought a special rifle worth Rs 4 lakh to murder him.
But in 2018, the police recovered the spring rifle from Dinesh Dagar, from whom the rifle was ordered and the murder plot was foiled.
Earlier on July 6, Hastimal Saraswat, a lawyer representing Salman Khan in the blackbuck poaching case, claimed he had received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
