Amidst all the criticism and speculation, the Congress Working Committee has decided that the election for the post of President of the party will be held on October 17. In its 138-year-long political history, the Congress has faced many crises, but this is probably the first time that it is facing an existential crisis. Therefore, it is a bigger challenge for the party to choose a ‘worthy’ president. However, the big question is whether it will be an election or a selection.
