The central government has banned PFI and its 8 affiliates for 5 years. The government took this step after the raids by the investigating agencies on the locations of PFI. The raids were conducted on the premises of PFI on 22 September and 27 September. The central government has not banned the PFI’s political organization #SDPI because the Home Ministry does not have the right to ban any political party. This work is done by the Election Commission. Political rhetoric has also intensified regarding the ban on PFI. RJD President Lalu Yadav has demanded a ban on #RSS like PFI.
