Tarikh Episode 353
Tarikh is a daily program in which we present you with incidents and stories of noteworthy persons of Indian History in Hindi. In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil, On the occasion of Armed corps flag day, talks about the battle of Imphal and Kohima and the story of badluram ka badan. Badluram ka badan is the marching song of Assam Regiment. Badluram was a soldier who fought in the second world war. And after his death the regiment fought on his After Badluram’s death, the quartermaster did not remove his name from the rations roster and the company continued to draw rations in Badluram’s name. This extra ration helped the company survive through a siege when Japanese troops surrounded them during the Battle of Kohima and supplies were cut. Watch the complete video to know more.
