In an exclusive interview with Rahul Shrivastava (National Affairs Editor, India Today TV), Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) chief Chhotubhai Vasava lashed out at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal for acting as BJP ‘team’ in the state of Gujarat. Kejriwal might end up helping the BJP in upcoming assembly polls, he said.
Chhotubhai Vasava also spoke about a possible alliance with the Congress. BTP is keeping doors open to alliance with Congress in Gujarat, he said. But it is only possible if Congress promises not to field any candidates against the BTP, he added.
“In 2017, Congress gave us eight seats but fielded candidates against us. This time if
Congress promises not to field candidates against us, we may agree to an alliance with Congress,” Vasava said.
