The Karnataka High Court has said in a recent order that consensual sex for five years cannot be considered rape, just because the marriage could not happen.

According to a report published in Bar & Bench, the name of the case is Mallikarjun Desai Gowdar vs. State of Maharashtra. Mallikarjun Desai, 35, and the complainant woman were in a relationship and had sexual relations several times over a period of five years. There were discussions regarding marriage but it could not happen because of caste. Watch the video to know more.
