The farmers of Punjab-Haryana are protesting at the Delhi border against the three laws of the Center made for farmers. Kulwant Singh was also one of these farmers participating in farmers’ protest. He was shouting ‘Delhi Chalo’ with full enthusiasm in the hope that farmers’ demand will be heard by the central government but he got a piece of sad news amidst all this. Kulwant Singh’s son Sukhbir Singh was a part of Indian Army. In the midst of the peasant demonstration, an army officer informed him on the phone that his son was martyred in the firing from Pakistan. On receiving the news, Kulwant pasted the picture of the son to his chest and cheered ‘Bharat Maa’. Fellow farmers also started raising slogans of “Bharat Maa Ki Jai” with him.
