The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has dismissed a claim made by the Congress regarding train ticket cancellations. The Congress had alleged that people no longer feel safe in train travel after the Odisha train accident, and thousands of people have canceled their train tickets. Disregarding this claim by the Congress, the IRCTC has stated that the number of train ticket cancellations has not increased but has decreased.
