On Sunday, Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi and national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), will once again return to the Ramlila Ground. This will be the first time, since the formation of AAP, that Kejriwal will address a political rally at this ground, apart from his oath-taking ceremonies.
It was at this venue that Kejriwal emerged as one of the most well-known faces of Indian politics almost 12 years ago during the historic Anna Andolan. Later, he formed the Aam Aadmi Party and became the chief minister of Delhi. Now, Kejriwal is set to return to the same ground that served as a political nursery for him. However, this time, the context is different, and Kejriwal and his party are facing troubled times.
