Congress leader #RahulGandhi arrived in strife-torn #Manipur on 29 June. After reaching the state capital Imphal, Gandhi was on his way to Churachandpur to meet people living in relief camps when his convoy was stopped in Bishnupur. Protests erupted in Bishnupur and the locals clashed with the police. Police fired tear gas to disperse the protesters and Rahul Gandhi had to go back to the airport to take a helicopter to Churachandpur. Politics continues on the deteriorating situation in Manipur, but the solution to stop the violence has not yet been found.
