Wajid Ali Shah was the last Nawab of Awadh.
He was a man of recreations. He used to write poetry, and was fond of music and dance.
Before Wajid Ali Shah the british had already acquired half of the empire of Awadh State.
When Wajid Ali came to the throne the state was in very bad condition.
This was the time of Lord Dalhousie. He wanted to acquire Awadh completely,
