An underwater project is being launched to determine the age of Ramsetu and to check how it was formed. This is an underwater exploration project. The Central Advisory Board on Archaeology, a body under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has approved this project which was earlier proposed by CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Goa, (NIO).
