The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) of the Kerala government has taken a significant decision regarding organizations like the RSS and other “extremist ideologies.” These organizations have been banned from participating in any activities within the temples managed by the board. The board’s action is based on a circular issued following a recent order by the Kerala High Court last month, which had prevented the RSS from conducting arms training in the Varkala Temple in Kerala. The RSS has alleged that this is an attempt by the CPI(M) to gain control over the day-to-day affairs of Kerala’s temples.
