Delhi Congress workers on Saturday staged a ‘Matka phod’ (breaking earthen pots) protest against the incumbent AAP government and the BJP over the severe water crisis in the national capital. The Congress workers held a march with earthen pots on their heads and later threw them on the ground to symbolically show that the people were not getting water.
The protesters alleged that Delhi government and the Centre were doing politics while the people were battling a water crisis in the city. They accused the AAP government of ‘conniving’ with the water mafia in Delhi.
