A breast cancer awareness poster in the Delhi Metro has sparked controversy and online debate. The poster, created by cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s non-profit organisation, UVCan, referred to breasts as ‘oranges’, leading to backlash and questions about the appropriateness of the language used. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has since removed the poster, stating that it was possibly in poor taste. TMCMP, Mahua Moitra expressed outrage over the poster, criticising the DMRC for allowing it to be displayed.
