A police team in Motihari, Bihar, was attacked by villagers while investigating a kidnapping case, resulting in injuries to two officers. The incident occurred when the police sought to recover two kidnapped cousins. Following the attack, the Superintendent of Police, Swarna Prabhat, ordered the withholding of the Station House Officer’s salary and initiated departmental action due to inadequate response. A case has been registered against seven individuals, with one has been arrested. Authorities have formed a special investigation team and announced rewards for information leading to the arrest of additional suspects involved in the assault.
