J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has drawn flak for his remarks suggesting that the CPRF security cover provided to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was a sign of separatist politics waning in the Valley. The Mirwaiz’s office called Abdullah’s comment “non-sensical”, while the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said “singling out Mirwaiz only puts him at greater risk”.
