A massive mudslide has struck Dharali village in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi district, triggering a large-scale, multi-agency rescue operation. Four fatalities have been confirmed. The Indian Army, from a camp just 4 kilometers away, reached the site within 10 minutes with 150 personnel, evacuating 15 to 20 individuals. Teams from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are also involved in the response. Home Minister Amit Shah has spoken with the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, confirming all possible resources are being deployed.
