अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने बुधवार को रूस से तेल खरीद जारी रखने पर भारत पर अतिरिक्त 25 प्रतिशत टैरिफ लगाने के कार्यकारी आदेश पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए। इसके साथ ही, भारतीय उत्पादों पर अमेरिका में लगने वाला टैरिफ अब बढ़कर 50 प्रतिशत हो गया है। इस कदम से कपड़ा, समुद्री उत्पाद और चमड़ा निर्यात जैसे क्षेत्रों पर बुरा असर पड़ने की आशंका है। इस घटनाक्रम पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए भारत ने कहा कि ये कदम ”अनुचित और अविवेकपूर्ण” हैं। इतना ही नहीं, ट्रंप ने बुधवार को भारत पर 25 प्रतिशत अतिरिक्त टैरिफ लगाने के बाद कहा कि वे कई सेकेंडरी सैंक्शन भी लगाएंगे।
