Tensions are high as the US refuses to comment on reported damage to Pakistan’s F-16 fighter jets during India’s Operation Sindoor. When asked on August 13, the US State Department told NDTV to “ask Pakistan” about the jets. The controversy began after Indian Air Force Chief A.P. Singh revealed that in May, the IAF struck a hangar at Jacobabad housing F-16s, destroying half of it and likely damaging aircraft. He also claimed strikes on Sukkur and Bholari airbases, with estimates of at least one large aircraft and multiple F-16s hit.
