A massive tragedy struck Jammu & Kashmir’s Kishtwar on Thursday as a cloudburst in Chositi village triggered flash floods along the Machail Mata Yatra route. At least 45 people, including two CISF jawans, have died, over 167 are injured, and more than 220 remain missing. Rescue teams from the Army, NDRF, SDRF, and local authorities are racing against time to find survivors. PM Modi, CM Omar Abdullah, and other leaders have expressed condolences. Relief operations are ongoing.
