On the recent accusations being made on the alleged Voter Theft, the Election Commission of India held a Press Conference (PC) on August 17, 2025. The Election Commission of India (ECI) finally broke its silence with a big press conference in New Delhi, after weeks of debate over vote theft allegations raised by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha – Rahul Gandhi. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar defended the Commission’s credibility. In this PC, the most burning three questions of the opposition parties were asked:
1. Why did Election Commission take down the machine readable and digitally searchable Electoral Rolls from its Website of LoP Rahul Gandhi’s Press Conference?
2. Two biggest political parties of India i.e., BJP and Congress have made serious allegations on the working of Election Commission through their respective Press Conferences, What is EC’s response to that?
3. When accusations were made on the Election Commission for Maharashtra Assembly elections, why a Chief Minister of the BJP Government answer on this instead of Election Commission?
