#BHT036 Bihar is battling a severe flood crisis as rivers like the Ganga, Kosi, and Gandak flow above danger marks. From Buxar to Bhagalpur, rising water levels have affected over 11 lakh people across 8 districts, with more than 25 reported deaths. Begusarai and Bhagalpur are among the worst-hit, where homes, schools, and roads are submerged, and people are forced to live on roadsides. In Bhagalpur, even Tilka Manjhi University is flooded, with boats being used to commute—just days before President Droupadi Murmu’s scheduled visit. Rescue operations are underway, but life remains paralyzed in large parts of the state.
