A Japanese tourist’s viral video has sparked a corruption row in Gurugram. Kaito, a vlogger and street photographer, was stopped near Galleria Market for not wearing a helmet while riding pillion. As per the Motor Vehicles Act, the fine is ₹1,000. The police explained two options—pay on the spot or through court. But when Kaito offered to pay via card, officers refused and accepted ₹1,000 in cash without issuing a receipt. That’s where the fine turned into a bribe.
