Curfew has been lifted from Kathmandu, Nepal, as of 5 AM today. The orders, which were imposed by the army, have been revoked following a period of significant unrest. The curfew was initially put in place after large-scale violence occurred on the 9th of September. The situation escalated when protesters, identified as ‘Gen Z’, took to the streets in a demonstration against the government, leading to what was described as a rampage. “Curfew now has been lifted from Kathmandu,” a report confirmed, signalling a change in the capital’s status after days of turmoil.
