In an exclusive report, India Today accesses the anticipatory bail plea filed by Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra, owners of the ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ club in Goa where a fire claimed 25 lives. India Today’s Srishti Ojha reports that the brothers have approached Delhi’s Rohini Court, alleging that authorities are acting in a ‘vindictive’ manner after one of their properties was bulldozed. The plea claims the brothers are not absconding but travelled to Thailand on December 6 for ‘professional engagements’ and to scout restaurant sites. The application states they left the country before the incident occurred and are willing to cooperate with the investigation.
