गुजरात के सूरत से बड़ी खबर सामने आ रही है, जहां एक बार फिर शहर का प्रमुख टेक्सटाइल हब भीषण आग की चपेट में आ गया है। परवत पाटिया इलाके में स्थित राज टेक्सटाइल मार्केट में आज सुबह अचानक आग भड़क उठी, जिससे पूरे इलाके में अफरा-तफरी मच गई।
आग सुबह करीब 7 बजे लगी और इसकी तीव्रता का अंदाजा इसी बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि घंटों की मशक्कत के बाद भी सुबह साढ़े 10 बजे तक आग पर पूरी तरह से काबू नहीं पाया जा सका। आसपास के इलाकों में घना काला धुआं छाता रहा, जिससे लोगों में दहशत का माहौल बन गया।
Surat के इस व्यस्त कपड़ा बाजार में बड़ी मात्रा में सिंथेटिक और ज्वलनशील कपड़ा मौजूद था, जिससे आग ने बेहद तेजी से विकराल रूप ले लिया। हालांकि राहत की बात यह रही कि आग सुबह जल्दी लगी, जिस वक्त बाजार में ज्यादा लोग मौजूद नहीं थे, जिससे किसी बड़ी जनहानि की खबर फिलहाल सामने नहीं आई है।
