The DGCA — India’s aviation regulator — has ordered IndiGo to cut its flight schedule by 10% after the airline’s operations were hit by widespread cancellations and disruptions. The decision follows a chaotic period beginning in early December, when the airline canceled thousands of flights after struggling to comply with newly enforced pilot duty-time and rest-norms. The 10% reduction builds on an earlier 5% cut issued by DGCA — the deeper cut is aimed at stabilizing operations and restoring reliability.
