The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its crackdown on illegal online betting and gambling networks, leading to major action against social media influencer and YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi. The investigation was initiated based on an FIR registered by the West Bengal Police.
According to the ED, an organised online betting panel was being operated from Siliguri, using mule bank accounts, Telegram channels, and other digital platforms to conduct illegal betting activities across multiple regions. The agency alleges that Anurag Dwivedi played an active role in promoting illegal betting and gambling apps through his YouTube channel and social media platforms. Officials claim that Dwivedi earned large sums of money from betting apps such as Sky Exchange, which are illegal in India.
