कोलकाता के साल्ट लेक स्टेडियम में अर्जेंटीना के दिग्गज फुटबॉलर लियोनल मेसी का एक कार्यक्रम रखा गया…मेसी 14 साल बाद भारत के दौरे पर आए हैं…साल्ट लेक स्टेडियम में हजारों की संख्या में फैंस मेसी की जर्सी पहनकर उनका इंतजार कर रहे थे…मेसी पहुंचे तो तय कार्यक्रम से पहले ही स्टेडियम से निकल लिए…मैदान पर मेसी को इतने लोगों ने घेरा था कि फैंस मेसी की एक झलक तक नहीं देख पाए..जैसे ही मेसी स्टेडियम से निकले..फैंस गुस्से में आ गए…और स्टेडियम में बोतलें फेंकना शुरू कर दिया…इतने से जब मन नहीं भरा तो तोड़फोड़ शुरू कर दी… कुर्सियों को मैदान में फेंकना शुरू कर दिया…मैदान में लगे टेंट को उखाड़ फेंका…साउंड सिस्टम को तोड़ डाला..पुलिस से भिड़ गए…स्टेडियम में कई घंटे जबरदस्त हंगामा होता रहा…मेसी के फैंस को कंट्रोल करने में कोलकाता पुलिस के जवानों के पसीने छूट गए…

Thousands of fans, wearing Messi’s jersey, were waiting for him at the Salt Lake Stadium. However, Messi left the stadium earlier than scheduled. He was surrounded by so many people on the field that fans couldn’t even catch a glimpse of him. As soon as Messi left the stadium, the fans became angry and started throwing bottles. When that wasn’t enough, they started vandalizing the stadium, throwing chairs onto the field, tearing down tents, and destroying the sound system. They even clashed with the police. The stadium witnessed several hours of intense chaos. The Kolkata police officers struggled to control Messi’s fans.
