Two key suspects in the murder of Bangladesh’s Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi have reportedly fled to India via Meghalaya, according to Dhaka Police. Officials said Faisal Karim Masud and Alamgir Sheikh crossed the border through Mymensingh’s Haluaghat with local assistance. After crossing, they were allegedly received by a contact named Poorthi and later taken to Tura in Meghalaya by a taxi driver named Sami. Police claim Indian authorities have detained those who helped them, though formal confirmation is awaited. Bangladesh says it is in touch with India through official and unofficial channels to secure the suspects’ arrest and extradition.
