The Indian economy’s booming growth is making Trump’s tariffs seem insignificant. The World Bank has raised its GDP growth forecast for India to 7.2% and stated in its report that the impact of US tariffs on the rapidly growing Indian economy is likely to be limited. Notably, this new GDP growth forecast released by the World Bank represents a significant increase of 0.9 percentage points compared to the 6.3% forecast made in June 2025.
