In a major administrative action from Chhattisgarh, SDM Tulsi Das Markam of Mainpur in Gariaband district has been removed from his post following a controversy involving an alleged obscene dance performance organized under the name of an opera event. The incident, which reportedly included public vulgar dancing and the flying of currency notes, sparked widespread criticism and raised serious questions about discipline, ethics, and misuse of authority. Along with the SDM’s removal, three security personnel who were allegedly involved in the incident have been line-attached as part of the disciplinary proceedings. The administration has stated that the action was taken to maintain public decorum, uphold administrative integrity, and send a strong message against misconduct by government officials and uniformed personnel.
