A disabled man who had been begging for years on a wooden trolley in Indore has come under the spotlight after authorities discovered that he owns multiple properties and vehicles. The man, identified as Mangilal, was rescued by the Women and Child Development Department following repeated complaints from the Sarafa market area. Investigations revealed that despite receiving government support, including a house, he continued begging. Officials found that Mangilal owns three permanent houses, three auto-rickshaws and a car, which he rents out. He also admitted to lending money on interest. Authorities have said action against begging will continue.
