Indian cricketer Rinku Singh’s father, Khanchandra Singh, passed away on the morning of February 27 after a prolonged battle with liver cancer, marking an irreparable personal loss for the young finisher. Despite facing severe financial hardships while working as an LPG cylinder delivery man in Aligarh, Khanchandra was a pillar of support for Rinku’s cricketing dreams, even when the family struggled for basic necessities. Rinku, who had briefly left the T20 World Cup 2026 camp to be by his father’s side in a Noida hospital, rejoined the squad before the Zimbabwe match; however, his participation in the upcoming fixtures remains uncertain during this period.
