The United States and Israel have together dropped more than 1,200 munitions across 24 provinces in Iran, while Iran has launched strikes and counter-strikes at 27 different locations targeting Israeli Defense Forces and US assets and bases in the region. Iran has fired over 400 missiles and more than 800 drones in the past three days, with the conflict now entering its fourth day. Nine Gulf countries, including UAE and Saudi Arabia, are in the line of Iranian drones, missiles, and rockets. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has warned that the worst is yet to come. The US is deploying multiple defence systems including the Patriot Interceptor System, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense shield, and advanced fighter jets such as F-22 Raptors and F-35 stealth jets. Nuclear-powered aircraft carriers USS Gerald Ford and Abraham Lincoln, capable of carrying 100 fighter jets each, are part of the US military response. Iran has also deployed zigzag missiles designed to dodge interceptors.
