The investigation reveals how household LPG cylinders are being sold at heavily inflated prices in the national capital. Undercover footage shows the team being turned away from a gas agency on Rathiamarg in Sangam Vihar without a booking voucher, but cylinders were openly available in the black market nearby. In Barfali Gali, a man named Harish offered a 19 kg commercial cylinder for 4200 rupees, more than double its official price of 1884 rupees, yielding a profit exceeding 2300 rupees per cylinder. Another seller, Prince, sold a cylinder for 2000 rupees from his shop which contained a visible stockpile. The report raises questions about how cylinders reach the black market despite agencies requiring booking slips, pointing to possible diversion by authorised stockists or collusion within the supply chain.
