लोकसभा में महिला आरक्षण बिल पर शुक्रवार को वोटिंग हुई. इस बिल के पक्ष में 298 वोट पड़े वहीं विपक्ष में 230 वोट पड़े. बिल को पास कराने के लिए कम से कम दो तिहाई वोटों की आवश्यकता थी, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं हो सका. जिस कारण लोकसभा में संविधान संशोधन बिल पास नहीं हो सका.
Voting on the Women’s Reservation Bill took place in the Lok Sabha on Friday. The bill received 298 votes in favor, while 230 votes were cast against it. A minimum of two-thirds of the votes were required to pass the bill, but this threshold was not met. Consequently, the Constitutional Amendment Bill failed to pass in the Lok Sabha.
