A devastating fire broke out in the Vikas Nagar slum area of Lucknow on April 15, resulting in the tragic death of two young girls and the complete destruction of over 50 shanties. The inferno, which was exacerbated by more than 10 consecutive cylinder blasts, took firecrews nearly eight hours to control and forced the evacuation of surrounding residential buildings. While Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered a high-level probe into the cause of the blaze.
