This is the story of a man who stayed visible on camera but hidden from the law. YouTuber Salim Vastik, who survived a recent deadly attack, has now been arrested in a 31-year-old kidnapping and murder case.
In 1995, 13-year-old Sandeep Bansal was abducted on his way to school. A ransom of ₹30,000 was demanded, but the child was killed before any payment. Salim was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment but absconded after getting interim bail in 2000.
For years, he changed identities and stayed underground while appearing on TV and YouTube. Now, Delhi Police has finally arrested him and sent him to Tihar Jail.
