Students protesting in Patna over the demand for the BPSC TRE 4 teacher recruitment advertisement were lathi-charged by police near JP Golambar. Protesters alleged that the Bihar government is delaying the TRE 3 recruitment process while lakhs of aspirants continue waiting for TRE 4 vacancies. Visuals from the ground showed students being beaten even as many sat with folded hands. Meanwhile, in Jaipur, selected candidates of the Rajasthan SI Recruitment Exam 2021 and their families staged protests after the recruitment process was cancelled following allegations of paper leaks and irregularities. Candidates questioned why they were given training and jobs if the recruitment itself was flawed.
From Patna to Jaipur, the protests highlighted the growing frustration, uncertainty, and helplessness among India’s youth over delayed recruitments, exam scams, and sudden cancellation of government job processes.
