In a rare moment beyond political tensions, Pakistan Navy rescued an Indian vessel, MV Gautam, stranded in the Arabian Sea after a technical failure. Acting on an SOS alert from Mumbai’s Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre, Pakistan deployed PMSS Kashmir to assist the crew.
The ship, carrying 7 members (6 Indians and 1 Indonesian), received food, medical aid, and technical support. The operation highlights how humanitarian efforts and international maritime rules can bring cooperation even between rival nations like India and Pakistan.
